“My dreams as a child was to become a pilot, dentist, musician and a pro-golfer….”

I graduated from Stellenbosch University in 2005 with a Degree in Dentistry (BChD). I consider dentistry to be an art and therefore find the fine-skilled work of Cosmetic Oral rehabilitation very satisfying. I completed my Diploma in Oral surgery as well as a post-graduate qualification in Maxillo-facial anatomy (Cum Laude) from the University of Pretoria in 2009 and 2010 respectively. After a paragliding accident in France I developed a keen interest in trauma, so I completed a post-graduate qualification in Advanced Trauma Life Support (Cum Laude) from the University of Witwatersrand. I am also a member of the South African Dental Association (SADA), Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), Trauma Society of South Africa and the Secrets of Youth Academy. I love making music, motorcycling, flying off mountains and am an avid golfer… invite me… I never decline an invite for golf.

I started working as a dental assistant in 2014 never knowing how much I’ll learn to love the field.

I graduate in 2018 as a certified Dental Assistant. I’ve been a dental assistant for almost 10 years now.

I love the outdoors and any activities that involves my family and friend.

I believe we have two families ,a family at home and a work family ,we will always be there and help each other where we can.

I’m energetic and enthusiastic about dentistry and I’m always willing to go the extra mile for my patients.

Meaning of the name: Joy or Gladness

Superpower: Receptionist

I was born and raised in the East of Pretoria and believe there’s no place like home. I became part of this wonderful team in 2020 and found my second home. I will always go the extra mile to make your visit to the practice a happy one.

One of my main purposes in life is to live up to my name and bring Joy onto other’s lives. Going to a dental practice might seem terrifying and uncomfortable, but being who I am, I’ll always try to crack a joke or make you smile. (I need to see my Dr’s fantastic work you know ;)).
